Sustainability

Sustainability

Small Choices. Better Habits.

At BAUME 3, we believe everyday products should be made with care—from the formula inside to the way each order is prepared and shipped.

We are still a growing independent brand, and we know sustainability is an ongoing process. Our goal is to make thoughtful choices, reduce unnecessary waste and improve as our business grows.

Thoughtful Formulas

Our lip balms are made with a focused blend of ingredients selected for comfort, protection and everyday performance.

Our formula includes ingredients such as:

  • Beeswax
  • Shea butter
  • Cocoa butter
  • Meadowfoam seed oil
  • Jojoba oil
  • Mango butter
  • Vitamin E

We aim to keep our formulas purposeful and avoid adding ingredients simply for appearance or marketing.

Made in Canada

BAUME 3 lip balms are made in Canada.

Producing closer to the customers we primarily serve helps us maintain closer oversight of our products while supporting Canadian production.

Right-Sized Packaging

We use compact packaging designed to protect the product without adding unnecessary bulk.

Our shipping materials are selected to fit the order as closely as possible. Smaller, lighter packages can help reduce excess material and take up less space during transportation.

We continue to review our packaging as better options become practical and available to our small business.

Reducing Unnecessary Waste

We work to reduce waste by:

  • Producing and purchasing inventory in manageable quantities
  • Using packaging sized appropriately for our products
  • Avoiding unnecessary layers whenever possible
  • Reusing suitable shipping and business materials when practical
  • Carefully preparing orders to reduce damage and replacement shipments

We also encourage customers to purchase products they will use and enjoy rather than over-ordering.

Product Care

Proper storage can help protect the quality of your lip balm and prevent unnecessary waste.

For best results:

  • Store your lip balm in a cool, dry place
  • Keep it away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid leaving it in a hot vehicle
  • Keep the cap securely closed
  • Use clean hands when applying the product

Natural oils, waxes and butters may respond to changes in temperature. A temporary change in firmness does not always mean the product is unusable.

Recycling and Disposal

Recycling programs vary by city and municipality.

Before placing packaging in your recycling bin, check your local recycling guidelines to confirm whether the material is accepted in your area.

Where components cannot be recycled locally, please dispose of them responsibly.

Customers should separate packaging components when possible before recycling or disposal.

Our Ongoing Commitment

We do not believe sustainability is a finished achievement or a label to place on a product.

It is a process of reviewing how we formulate, package, produce and ship our products—and making better choices whenever possible.

As BAUME 3 grows, we aim to explore:

  • Packaging with less material
  • More recyclable packaging options
  • Responsible sourcing opportunities
  • More efficient shipping practices
  • Ways to reduce production and operational waste

We will only make environmental claims that we can reasonably support.

Honest Progress

We are committed to being transparent about what we currently do and what we are still working toward.

We will continue learning, reviewing our practices and improving where it makes sense for our products, customers and business.
